in the summer of '03 the szuplats purchased property on 12 vacation lane.

found here will be details of putting a structure up

written mostly by erica and photographed a lot by ben, however like most things in life there are exceptions....

for instance ben wrote that last useless sentence.

hello again, remember me, this is ben. i have been negleciting many things lately. my soccer friends, my full time job, my full time friends, ect. however, we have made some significant progress at vacation lane due to all this negligance. one of my favorites was when the recently photographed (see page 10) light fixtures magically began working!! erica and i literally had every light on in the house and were running around flipping switches.

watson come here i need you!

well im sure you are really here for the pictures and not my babbling so.....

a week and a half ago now (april 28 tonight) erica and i bought a breakfast nook, which i assembled and she stained up

erica ordered and recieved the above stove microwave and we de-boxed the gas living room stove and placed it

erica has really let her self go this winter as you can tell she has gotten a little tubby!

we have been working and spending on getting a kitchen, including running out on a whim and buying the above butcher block rolling table

assorted views including my big project from monday... building a center island bar sink area.

lastly... i would like to point out that i have been trackin you people..... we are up to 6.9 hits a day as of this moment and thats the record so far! that .3rd of a person, is like erica, getting a little tubby -growing .6 persons during the winter. thanks for your continued support and keep your eyes on this space for when the big house openning party will be! you will all be expected to be there, whoever you are?

lastly lastly, my condolences to my fellow bruins faithfull.... see you in 2006? at least we have the red sox!?

ben pauses for the crowd on the fabulous stairs constructed by jim foster this week! the red is cardboard since we haven't put the finish on the stairs yet. jim also ordered us up trim boards for the windows and doors!

today, after two trips to fal. lumber with pete in his truck to get the supplies (thank you!) ben and i put the "mahoganey" (luoan?) boards on the porch!! we also put the same boards inside on the breakfast nook floor

then we made it to the latest demonstration at jennifer and peter's house in how to tile your shower walls

and of course made a trip to home depot for various items.

ben BEAUTIFULLY trimmed out our sink and counter area and built us some nice doors!!! (we are still waiting for our new faucet)

i am very impressed with his building skills and LOVE the way everything looks (sort of nautical!)ben also finished trimming out the bar wall/back side of the sink, and the bottom of the breakfast nook with pine.

i helped a little by holding things up (and i mean lifting things- not slowing them down!)

may 7

trim on windows! knobs on doors!

putty on stairs!

drains on sinks! tees on dishwashers! gas connections on stoves!

may 9

short on time and words! trim continues to be installed, our thanks to jim! sinks and tubs were also installed thanks to the ingenuity and dedication of stach! microwave and shelving and house numbers were installed and stairs polyurethaned! ben says goodnight thru the sliders (our current stools a little too short!)

well you/we are almost there...page 12 will feature move in day and is also the first page "produced/brought to you from" vacation lane! (details to come)
